This Heart

I gazed out the window
Watching the aurora beams rise into the sky
As the tears trickle off my nose
This is the closing I suppose? And if it is
How come I can't let go of you?

When you fantasize during the twilight do you see
The light gleam down on me? Or
Does it drift away from where it should be?
The butterflies flew away with it didn't they?
I heard it was so they could thrive on a new desire

Who knew a perfection such as you
Could have been so inhuman to have
Lead me around like a simpleton,
This heart continues to pound away
Even though it remises now in everyway

Just like you as the day breaks away into
A heated atmosphere disintegrating our hearts abroad the world

My mentality is hardening from what I've seen
This being yearns to be free, as a heart
Would commit itself to be with its necessity
Even if it meant tugging the mass that
Appeared to be enthralled by your diversity
